Preparing for the Conference

Below, you'll find all the general information that you'll need to help you plan for the conference. Familiarize yourself with the conference schedule and be sure to bring any supplies necessary to take notes during our sessions.

Weather

June in Atlanta marks the official start of summer, bringing warm temperatures, high humidity, and the occasional afternoon thunderstorm. Daytime highs typically range from the mid-80s to low 90s°F, while overnight lows are generally in the mid to upper 60s°F. On the upside, Atlanta enjoys long daylight hours in June, with sunset occurring around 8:40 p.m.

Dress Code

Dress code for our meetings is business casual, which excludes jeans and running shoes. Please make sure to read the attire details for the evening events, as the dress code for both nights will be casual. As always, it is important to remember that our attire reflects our professionalism and representation of LandCare, so please ensure clothing is appropriate.

Don’t forget a LandCare polo for our group photo on the last day!

Professional Headshots

Be prepared to have your headshot taken!

Our visual content specialist, Ray Gallardo, will be on-site taking headshots. You will receive a copy of the photo which you should use to update your LinkedIn profile, proposal bio sheets and more.

Photos will be taken during lunch on Wednesday (Southwest, Central & Midwest) & Thursday (Northwest, Southeast & East), from 12:00pm-1:00pm.

Getting to the Conference

Flights

Flight arrangements were made in advance and details were communicated to each attendee.

Please note: When reconciling your company credit card, charge your flight to your Branch and mark it as Expense Type “Airfare - 76110” and under Business Purpose put “AM Conference.” For a receipt, you may use the flight itinerary which includes the cost at the bottom.

Hotel

Hotel rooms have been reserved for you at the Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway, located at 2020 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta, GA 30337. An email with the hotel confirmation number and roommate information has been communicated to each attendee. Room and tax will be charged to our master account but you will need to provide a credit card for incidentals.

Ground Transportation

Transportation to the hotel will not need to be arranged; the hotel is accessible from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport via the ATL SkyTrain. After exiting your gate, follow the signs to the Plane Train and ride it to Baggage Claim. Once you arrive at Baggage Claim, head outside towards Ground Transportation and look for the ATL SkyTrain signs. Take the SkyTrain to the GICC/Gateway Center Station—the hotel is approximately a two-minute ride from the airport.

For local attendees who are driving, self-parking at the hotel is available. Use your company credit card to pay for parking and charge it to your Branch.
